Talking About Bullying with Children and Families

This guide, developed by USCRI, discusses ways that service providers can talk to families and children about bullying. It is important that Afghan refugee families, parents/caregivers, and children/youth be educated on bullying, the different types of bullying, their right to a safe and inclusive school environment, and the importance of reporting incidents of bullying to adult or school personnel. Afghan parents/caregivers should be educated on identifying signs of bullying, how to best respond to and support their child, and working with the school to advocate for their child.
