Logical frameworks, known as logframes, are project design tools that help you clearly outline the data you plan to collect to measure the results of a project. While logframes are sometimes required for grant proposals, you can also use them to support internal learning by planning to collect data that best helps you understand whether you have achieved what you set out to.
This guide introduces the concept of logframes and their components. It includes tips for filling out your logframe to develop a data collection plan that aligns with your project’s goal, as well as the other factors that support an effective monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plan and project design.
