Avoid Employment Scams

This Settle In video is a basic guide for newcomers, teaching them how to find work safely and avoid common employment scams. It explains how fraudulent offers aim to steal money or personal information and provides clear steps for self-protection.

In this video, newcomers will learn:

  • The core difference between a real job and a scam: A real job pays the worker, while a scam asks the worker for payment.

  • How to verify a job offer by searching for the company online, looking for a professional website, and checking its reputation.
