Well-Being for Educators of Students Affected by Forced Migration: Introduction to Mindfulness

The International Rescue Committee’s New Jersey Office for Refugees developed this course in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Education. It draws from the International Rescue Committee’s expertise in implementing education and social-emotional learning programs with conflict-affected children around the world. This self-paced course will help educators learn about mindfulness as a strategy to support their well-being. Educators will also practice guided mindfulness techniques and reflect on ways they can integrate mindfulness into their own work and lives.

Learning objectives:

  • Identify factors that affect your personal and professional well-being
  • Identify the benefits of mindfulness to your life and work
  • Experience several mindfulness techniques and explore how to integrate mindfulness into your life
