Boundaries in the Electronic Age

This webinar examined ethical and professional practice issues related to the electronic evolution in methods of communication.  Use of internet searches on clients, communication via texting, the use of blogs and help sites, friending on social media sites, were discussed along with things which may require the development of program policies and/or standards.

Objectives:

After participating in the webinar, participants will be equipped to:

  1. Articulate five key ethical principles relative to decision-making;
  2. Articulate key issues relative to doing internet searches on clients or potential clients;
  3. Discuss issues involved in “friending” both current and former clients.
