This 1.5-hour training is intended for service providers working with refugee children and youth, including resettlement agencies, child welfare, schools, health/mental health providers, anti-trafficking organizations, and others.
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
• Describe the unique challenges and common stressors that may lead to unstable living situations for newcomer youth and their caregivers adjusting to life in the U.S.
• Apply best practices for centering youth voice and family engagement to support newcomer youth and their caregivers experiencing challenges in their living situations
• Identify resources and services that support newcomer youth when their living situations become unstable, strained, or break down
