Legal service departments embedded in social services organizations often face challenges such as limited organizational support, unclear departmental roles, and capacity constraints that negatively impact service delivery. In this roundtable, we will explore the benefits of embedding legal service programs within organizations with broader community support mandates, and we’ll discuss remedies to common pitfalls facing these programs. Through case scenarios, a panel of experts will offer practical lessons that social services organizations can share with legal service providers to improve client outcomes. Together, we’ll examine how shared experience between legal service providers and social services organizations can enhance service provision for both.
