This event will cover the interplay of immigration and criminal law in theory and in practice. The presentation will include an overview of basic concepts in this area of law, including grounds of deportability and inadmissibility and the definition of a conviction under immigration laws. It will also feature a discussion on the ethical requirements when a potential crime is identified during the immigration filing process.
