Salome Mwangi

Salome Mwangi is an accomplished speaker, trainer, and cultural broker dedicated to bridging the cultural divide for refugee and immigrant communities. As a former refugee from Kenya resettled in Boise nearly 20 years ago, she has used her expertise in language interpretation and cultural awareness to advocate for more integrative communities. Salome is also an entrepreneur and founder of Mwangi'z Inc., a company through which she offers tailor-made training sessions and workshops to practice intentional cross-cultural living. Her impactful TEDxBoise talk entitled Being a "cultural broker" explores the beauty and challenges of cross-cultural living. Salome actively serves on various nonprofit organization boards and is passionate about bringing more voices and flavors to the communal table.
