Service providers are often drawn to refugee work by a genuine passion to support and uplift newcomers. Yet complex responsibilities and demanding caseloads can make it hard to keep clients at the heart of the workThis webinar will explore what client-centered practice means in the context of refugee and newcomer programs and how it supports both clients and staff. We will review the core principles of strengths-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approaches that enhance client-centered practiceParticipants will engage in case scenarios and interactive activities to practice client-centered skills and build confidence in working directly with refugees and newcomers.
