Ari M.K. Jones, Esq
Ari M.K. Jones, Esq, is the Residency & Naturalization Programs Director at Oasis Legal Services. They are an immigration advocate providing direct representation to LGBTQ+ immigrants and their families, including in adjustment of status, VAWA, family petition, consular processing, and naturalization cases. Participating in regional and statewide immigrant services networks, Ari advocates for immigrants' rights and improved services. Ari began their career being awarded the Pride Law Fund, Tom Steel Fellowship in 2018, during which they launched a permanent residency and case management program at Oasis Legal Services. Ari served on the East Bay Refugee and Immigrant Forum (EBRIF) Steering Committee for six years and led the group as Steering Committee Chair from 2022 to 2024. In 2023, Ari was named one of the Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40 by the LGBTQ+ Bar Association, and they received a Minority Bar Coalition Unity Award for their dedication to diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. Ari holds a JD from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College.
